Full Inclusion

  • Our statement
    • As followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and pledge to stand in solidarity with all who are marginalized and oppressed. We welcome and affirm people of every race, gender expression, sexual identity, and background.

  • What does Reconciling Ministries mean
    • Reconciling Ministries Network is committed to intersectional justice across and beyond the United Methodist connection, working for the full participation of all LGBTQ+ people throughout the life and leadership of the Church.

  • Antiracism
    • As a faith community we commit ourselves to the antiracism work that is ours to do. We are called to check our own privilege while opening our eyes to the educational, economic, criminal justice, and health disparities that stem from racism. (ask Mill Plain if they are okay with this)

  • Accessibility
    • We provide wheelchair accessibility throughout our building, large visual screens for the projection of text and pictures, and livestream for home viewing.

  • Feeding Ministries
    • Every week we provide up to 100 bags for Ridgefield school students to take home for weekend meals. We also provide a monthly meal to The Outpost, one of Vancouver's supportive Safe Stay Community for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

  • Land Recognition
    • We respectfully acknowledge that the Ridgefield United Methodist Church is located on the ancestral land of the People of the Lower Columbia. We gratefully acknowledge those on whose ancestral homelands we gather, as well as the diverse and vibrant Native communities who make their home  here today. (ask Tanna her thoughts)

  • Earth Stewardship
    • Dedicated to the care of our planet and all of God’s creation.
